The centuries old cellar vaults

The cellar vaults are the Castle's most preserved and unscathed rooms, more or less untouched since the 1640’s. They are rustic and cozy, and this is also where our overnight guests enjoy their breakfasts.
 
The cellar vaults are perfect for relaxed buffet dinners. It is also very well suited for wine tastings and can serve as a pub. It is down in this area that the Castle's reputable wine cellar can be found.
 
We have had a vast number of viking dinners in the vaults. The viking dinners are served buffet-style during three servings, and the guests are of course dressed in authentic viking dresses. The vaults are then decorated with rune stones and medieval torture equipment.
 
The cellar vaults are also an excellent complement to the more lush wedding arrangements in e.g. The Knights' Hall. The cellar vaults are magically beautiful with our white chair covers. We offer both buffet style dinners and full-service sit down dinners.
 
The Castle Chapel is situated in the vaults as well.
 
The seating capacity is between 40 and 90 people, depending on the seating configuration. Welcome to visit us and experience the magical vaults in person!
